About this siteWelcome. This site has been created by the Parish Council to allow us to better connect with the people living and working in our village. You can read more about what the council does here and you can leave a response on most pages to let us know your views on the subject.
The Local Plan for the Borough currently consists of the Core Strategy (CS) (adopted in 2011) and the Site Allocations and Development Management Policies Plan (SADMP) (adopted in 2016). These two documents have been reviewed and the new combined draft document sets out a strategy and detail for delivering growth in the Borough, identifying where development should be located and how it should be delivered up to 2036. The Local Plan Review sets out the policies which the borough council proposes to use (if agreed at Examination) to determine planning applications alongside those contained in made Neighbourhood Plans. It also identifies sites through ‘allocations’ for housing, employment and other land uses.
It is important for the plan to meet the needs and aspirations of local communities, businesses and other stakeholders; so we’d like to hear what you think. As this is a draft for consultation, it can change before it is finalised. We welcome your comments and suggestions, as well as any other alternatives that you think we should consider.
The Local Plan Review is published for a 6 week public consultation starting on Monday 4 March 2019 and all comments must be received by 5pm on Monday 15 April 2019.
The Plan and associated supporting documents are available to view online at:

The Norfolk Mobile Library Service is having a revamp this spring!
As of 4 April 2019, our service to Flitcham is changing.
We are stopping in the village every fourth Thursday, starting on 4 April.
11:40 12:00 at ABBEY ROAD – OLD CLUB
We’re also flexible! Use our website to reserve any library item for only 60p and arrange to collect it from your local mobile stop. When you borrow from us, you benefit from an eight-week loan period instead of the usual three. Plus, if you can’t return your mobile library books on time, there are no fines to pay.
We have a varied selection of fiction and non-fiction books available, including local interest and books for children and teenagers, too. If you’re not a Norfolk Library member, find your nearest stop and we can sign you up with a card then and there.
